We wish to share with our guests the privilege we enjoy of living in this place "blessed by the gods". Our prices are very reasonable. In return, we ask people who come to our place to respect the property, and share in preserving its beauty.

History and Background of La Colline aux bleuets

La Colline aux bleuets is located on a piece of land that, for one hundred years, belonged to the Beattie family whose name was given to the road where the farm is situated. Originally, the Beattie's enterprise was a dairy and a sugar bush farm. In 1959, the land was divided and sold by plots. The 66 acres of pasture and forest as well as the barn were separated from the ancestral stone house. The barn, erected in 1929, was transformed into a home by the new owners of this plot of land. As a residence, the barn underwent many transformations and became a friendly bed and breakfast for travellers and hunters as, during the 1990's, the Cloutier family started a hunting operation and a blueberry plantation.

In the year 2000, the present owners purchased the property. Unfortunately, only a few weeks after the sale, the very charming "barn-house" burned to the ground. We had to rebuild. From the ashes rose a house built according to ecological principles, which continues its vocation as a Bed & Breakfast. The architecture of the new house is such that it seems to have been part of the landscape forever. The blueberry farm continues but not the hunting operation.
